Personality Pallavi can be described by her friends as reserved and incredibly passionate in not only her work but also with maintaining her relationships with the kalon’s she cares about. While this innate drive helps her to achieve in her work, it also at times inhibits her from other aspects of her life. With this she is also described as a workaholic and tends to put too much on her plate. Pallavi’s mind may be strong-willed, it is not immune to wear. If this reaches the point of being overwhelming, Pallavi becomes consumed with her work and will let her own health deteriorate to do so.
Her profession was one that she obtained at a young again – watching her father treat those within their local village outside of the walls of Annren’s second largest city. Even though she was certified and ready to start her own profession within the field at a young age, she still spent much of her beginning years with her father with his business until he was unable to continue traveling to spread his mixtures and herbs, thus she decided with much coaxing from her father to make her own mark in the field. Much of Pallavi’s self-worth derives from her profession, and while she loves it dearly, it does take a toll on her physical and mental well-being when trying to tread that thin line of being compassionate and emotionally distant from her clients. While this has led to her success as a trusted Herbalist, it has at points isolated her within her field as well as from friends. |
History When Pallavi was 5 years old, she and her father moved to the Kingdom of Annren after he and her mother separated. Pallavi was born on the city-state of Poui from a relatively wealthy family (on her mother’s side) that was in the business of shipping and owned multiple ports on the surround continents and islands nearby Poui. Her father made a decent name for himself within his field of an herbalist, being the one who developed the method of preserving region specific delicate herbs to be able to with stain long distance voyages.
It was difficult times when her parents were separating, resulting in Pallavi losing much of her contact with her mother, and solely being raised after the age of 4 by her father. As much pain as it caused Pallavi on being separated from her mother, she was more so upset of how it affected not only her father but also how the relatives treated them. After being mostly cast out from their family, they decided to move to Annren to seek a new life with just the two of them. While Pallavi missed her family and those connections, she also doesn't wish for things to have been different, since her father gave her the opportunity to thrive and heal in a loving home. Now Pallavi is 24 years old and has been working on her own as a traveling herbalist for almost 3 years. Her small rented homestead is located within the walls of the Kingdom’s capital in Annren, and word has been spreading that she is quite talented with her profession, and whether that is for the good or better is undecided. |
